Massage Therapy

Do you enjoy massage?  Think that getting a professional massage is

just relaxing?  Ask a few people if they enjoy receiving massages and

they will answer affirmative.  There are always people who are sensitive

to touch and prefer other therapies such as yoga, meditation, swimming

and other relaxing activities.  These other activities are beneficial to your

physical and emotional health but did you know that Massage is also

scientifically proven to be beneficial to your health?

Massage has been around for centuries.  Rubbing and touching the skin is the natural reactions that we humans have when they feel pain and stress.  When we show passion and support,  we do it with a hug.  It is scientifically proven that Massage  has specific positive physiological and psychological effects on our bodies.   Massage feels great and can also help to prevent and cure what may be ailing you. Massage is increasingly being offered along with standard treatment for a wide range of medical conditions and situations.  Massage has demonstrated that it is an effective treatment for reducing stress, pain and muscle tension.  Studies have shown it also to be helpful with depression, anxiety, digestive disorders, insomnia related stress, fibromyalgia, headaches, arthritis, soft tissue strains and injuries to name just a few.  Beyond the benefits for specific conditions or diseases, some people enjoy massage because it often involves caring, comfort, a sense of empowerment and creating deep connections with their massage therapist.

The human hand, acting in concert with the heart, mind and spirit, is arguably the most sophisticated tool in the known physical universe.  With its pressure and warmth, guided by intelligence, care and inspiration, we can work with muscles and fascia, literally remodeling the human form and dramatically altering each and every human function.  "Nature is the Art of God.".  Each person is part of this divine art made from Life.  Each person is a walking miracle.  Each person is a masterpiece.  The body contains all the healing substances it needs.  Each person contains the healing resources in body, mind and spirit.  The "Art of Massage" involves helping the client remember we are capable of creating ourselves anew.  The capacity to self-evolve is unique to the human species.  To practice this level of massage is my responsibility, my opportunity and my greatest honor.  To receive this quality of touch, this quality of kindness ~ changes the world!.
